Knoxs Bruecke / Knox's Bridge

Bereits im 17. Jahrhundert verbanden zwei Brücken das Nordufer des Fergus mit Clonard Castle im Süden. Anstelle der Burg wurde im 19. Jahrhundert Clonard House (im Privatbesitz) gebaut, eine der Brücken entfernt und die andere durch einen Neubau ersetzt.

Way back in the 17th century two bridges connected the northern banks of the river Fergus with Clonard Castle in the south. Instead of the castle Clonard House (a private property) was built in the 19th century, one of the bridges was removed and the other one replaced by a new construction.
