In einem kleinen Park südlich des Gerichtsgebäudes wurde 1981 eine Statue von Éamon de Valera (1882 - 1975) aufgestellt. De Valera war Präsident von Irland, Gründer der Partei Fianna Fáil und Führungsoffizier während des Osteraufstandes 1916. Er wurde 1923 für Clare ins Parlament gewählt und vertrat die Grafschaft bis zum Ende seiner politischen Laufbahn.
In a small park to the south of the court house a statue of Éamon de Valera (1882 - 1975) was erected in 1981. De Valera was the President of Ireland, founder of the Fianna Fáil party and leading commander during the Easter Rising in 1916. In 1923 he was elected into parliament for Clare and continued to represented the county until the end of his political career.
