An einem der höchsten Punkte der Insel wurde - 100 Meter über der tosenden See - das Fort Dun Aengus erbaut. Von wem und warum bleibt im Dunkel der Geschichte verborgen. Es besteht aus drei konzentrischen Halbkreisen, die direkt an der Klippe liegen. Davor stehen Tausende Steinpflöcke, drohend wie Reiter in dichten Reihen.
On one of the highest places of the isle - 100 metres above the raging sea - the fort Dun Aengus was built. Why and by whom will remain concealed forever in the darkness of history. It consists of three concentric semicircles, directly situated at the cliffs. Right outside the walls thousand stone pillars stand like knights in dense formation.
