Keltischer Irrgarten / Celtic Maze

Der Keltische Irrgarten wurde von Peter Lamb mit der Hilfe von Lesley Beck entworfen und im Jahre 1996 gepflanzt. Der Entwurf orientiert sich an historischen keltischen Mustern, wie sie auch im Book of Kells zu finden sind. Wir probieren sowohl die Rechte-Hand-Regel, als auch die Linke-Hand-Regel aus, beide führen zum Ziel, dem Gebäude in der Mitte. Aber der Plan verrät uns, dass es einen noch kürzeren Pfad gibt (und ich meine nicht den Irrgarten durch den Ausgang zu betreten).
(Rechte- oder Link-Hand-Regel heißt: Beim Eingang die rechte oder linke Hand an die entsprechende Wand des Labyrinths legen und dann darf nur mehr so gegangen werden, dass diese Hand immer eine Wand berührt.)
The Celtic Maze was designed by Peter Lamb with help from Lesley Beck and planted in 1996. The design is based on historical Celtic patterns as they can be found in the Book of Kells or others. We try both, the right-hand-rule and the left-hand-rule, both lead us to the target, which is the building in the middle. However, the map of the maze tells us that there is an even shorter way (and I do not mean to enter the maze by the exit).
(Right- or left-hand-rule means: At the entrance put the right or the left hand unto the according wall and then go only in a way that this hand always touches a wall.)
