In einer Seitenstraße der Kathedrale zum Hl. Patrick ist der Eingang zu Marshs Bibliothek. Sie wurde im Auftrag von Erzbischof Narcissus Marsh errichtet, und 1707 als erste öffentliche Bibliothek Irlands eröffnet. Von ursprünglich 10000 Bücher, die Erzbischof Marsh der Bibliothek spendete, wuchs die Sammlung auf inzwischen über 25000 Bücher an.

In a narrow road beside St. Patrick's Cathedral there is the entrance to Marsh's Library. It was constructed by order of the Archbishop Narcissus Marsh and opened in 1707 as the first public library of Ireland. From the 10000 books originally donated by Archbishop Marsh, the collection has since grown to more than 25000 books.
