Howth Hafen / Howth Harbour

Der Hafen von Howth (Binn Éadair - Éadars Spitze), an der Nordseite der gleichnamigen Halbinsel gelegen, ist einer der wichtigsten Fischereihäfen Irlands. Während wir den Fischgeruch eher meiden, werden die Robben davon angezogen und wir können einige bei der Futtersuche beobachten.

Im Schutze der Hafenmole liegen viele kleine Yachten vor Anker, ihre Takelagen klingen im Wind wie Hunderte Glöckchen.

The harbour of Howth (Binn Éadair - Éadar's peak), situated on the north of the peninsula with the same name, is one of the most important fishing harbours of Ireland. We try to avoid the smell of the fish, but the seals are attracted by it, and we watch some of them looking for food.

In the safety of the pier, many small yachts ride at anchor, their riggings sound like hundreds of little bells in the wind.
