Die Dunlewy (Dún Lúiche, Festung des Lugh) Kirche wurde Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts erbaut. Sie ist die letzte Ruhestätte von James Russell, dem Grundbesitzer des Dunlewey Anwesens und seiner Nachfahren. Seine Frau Jane, welche die Kirche erbauen ließ, war jedoch römisch-katholisch und ist nicht hier begraben. Etwa hundert Jahre später wurde die Kirche kaum noch besucht und, da niemand das notwendige Geld aufbrachte, auch nicht mehr repariert. Das Dach wurde abgetragen, die Einrichtungsgegenstände auf andere Kirchen aufgeteilt. Nach 2000 wurden jedoch zumindest die Ruine vor dem weiteren Verfall bewahrt.
The Dunlewy (Dún Lúiche, fort of Lugh) Church of Ireland was built in the middle of the 19th century. It is the last resting place of James Russell, landlord of the Dunlewey Estate and his descendants. However, his wife Jane, who had the church built, is not buried here, as she was Roman Catholic. About 100 years later there were only few visitors and as nobody procured the necessary money it was not repaired, either. The roof was removed, the furniture was moved to other churches. After 2000 at least the ruin was saved from further deterioration.
