Bei der von den britischen Herrschern gesteuerten Einwanderung von Tausenden von Schotten und Engländern in Ulster (Die Besiedlung von Ulster) im 17. Jahrhundert, kam auch der Presbyterianische Glauben nach Irland. In der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde in Donegal Stadt eine Presbyterianische Kirche gebaut, die 1888 durch eine neue ersetzt wurde.

During the immigration of thousands of Scots and English to Ulster (The Plantation of Ulster), which was controlled by the British rulers in the 17^th century, also the Presbyterian faith came to Ireland. In the first half of the 19^th century a Presbyterian church was built in Donegal town that was replaced in 1888 by a new one.
