Der Fluss Foyle (an Feabhal) wurde nach Febail, dem Vater des Bran benannt und hat selbst auch viele Väter (oder Mütter). Die Flüsse Camowen und Drumragh vereinigen sich bei Omagh und bilden den Fluss Strule. Bei Newtonstewart kommt noch der Fluss Glenelly dazu, kurz danach der Fluss Derg und sie bilden den Fluss Mourne. Zwischen Lifford und Strabane fließen der Fluss Mourne und der Fluss Finn zusammen und ab hier heisst der Fluss Foyle. Während fast seiner gesamten restlichen Länge markiert dieser die Grenze zwischen Donegal und Nordirland, bevor er bei Derry / Londonderry in den Lough Foyle mündet.
The River Foyle (an Feabhal) is named after Febail, father of Bran and itself has also many fathers (or mothers). The rivers Camowen and Drumragh unite at Omagh and create the River Strule. At Newtonstewart the River Glenelly joins, a little later the River Derg flows in and they form the River Mourne. Between Lifford and Strabane the rivers Mourne and Finn confluent and from now on it is named River Foyle. During almost its complete remaining length the Foyle marks the border between Donegal and Northern Ireland until it discharges into the Lough Foyle at Derry / Londonderry.
