Creeragh Kirche / Creeragh Church

Neben der N59 zwischen Kylemore Lough und dem Lough Lee steht eine moderne Kirche mit einer außergewöhnlichen Bauform. Wir nehmen uns ein paar Minuten Zeit, um die Kirche auch von Innen anzusehen. Sie ist hell und einfach eingerichtet, viele der dekorativen Gegenstände sind aus Metall mit bunten Emailstücken. Über allem trohnt aber das Glasfenster beim Eingang, das die Hl. Maria darstellt und der Kirche ihren zweiten Namen gibt: Our Lady of the Wayside (Unsere Dame des Wegesrandes).
Beside the N59 between Kylemore Lough and Lough Lee stands a modern church with an exceptional structural shape. We take a few minutes of our time to have a look at the inside of the church. It is bright and simply furnished, many of the decorative objects are made from metal with colourful enamel pieces. Above it all thrones the stained glass window at the entrance, depicting St. Mary and giving the church its second name: Our Lady of the Wayside.
