Ein Dokument aus dem Jahre 1328 ist die älteste Erwähnung der beiden Mühlen von Maynooth, eine für den Gutshof und eine für die Burg. Beide Mühlen standen nebeneinander und teilten sich einen Mühlbach. Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts war nur mehr die Gutshof-Mühle in Verwendung, die bis in das 20. Jahrhundert in Betrieb war.

Heute steht an der Stelle der Mühlen das Manor Mills Einkaufszentrum. Nur mehr das Mühlrad auf seiner Rückseite erinnert noch an die ehemaligen Mühlen.

A document from the year 1328 is the oldes mentioning of the two mills of Maynooth, one for the mansion and one for the castle. Both mills stood side-by-side, sharing the mill race. At the middle of the 19^th century only the manor mill was still used and was in operation into the 20^th century.

Today the Manor Mills Shopping Mall covers the site of the mills. Only the mill wheel at its backyard reminds of the former mills.
