Torc Wasserfall / Torc Waterfall

Bei der Wanderung um den Muckross Lake machen wir einen kleinen Umweg zum Torc (Wildschweineber) Wasserfall. Er ist mit etwa 18 Metern Höhe bei weitem nicht der höchste Wasserfall Irlands, aber einer der romantischsten. Der Wasserfall und sein Ablauf sind völlig mit Bäumen umgeben, nur ein schmaler Weg führt an ihm vorbei. Die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit lässt überall Moos wachsen.

During our walk round the Muckross Lake, we make a small detour to visit Torc (boar) waterfall. It is with about 18 metres height by far not the highest one in Ireland, but one of the most romantic one. The waterfall and the little creek it feeds are completely surrounded by trees, only a narrow path passes by. The high humidity causes moss to grow everywhere.
