Alte Wehr Bruecke / Old Weir Bridge

Unsere Wanderung um den Muckross Lake herum bringt uns an dem Ende des Sees, das dem Muckross Haus gegenüberliegt, zu einem kleinen Gasthaus, Dinis Cottage, wo wir uns stärken. (Dinis Cottage war die Jagdhütte der Familie Herbert.). Auf der Rückseite des Gasthauses speist der Ablauf des Upper Lakes die beiden anderen Seen, wieder ein Platz der "Meeting of the Waters" genannt wird. In Bildhintergrund ist die Old Weir Brücke (um 1600 erbaut) zu sehen.
Our walk around Muckross Lake takes us to the end of the lake opposing Muckross House and to a small inn, Dinis Cottage, where we take some refreshments. (Dinis Cottage was the hunting lodge of the family Herbert.) On the backside of the bar, the mouth of the Upper Lake feeds the other two lakes, again a place called "Meeting of the Waters". In the background of the picture you can see the Old Weir Bridge (built around 1600).
