Auld Triangle

Zwischen dem Aquädukt und der Brücke gibt es einen schmalen Grünstreifen, auf dem ein paar Tische und Bänke aufgestellt wurden. Ein ruhiger Rastplatz entlang dem Royal Canal Green Way. Auf einem Stein wurde eine Tafel mit ein paar Zeilen des Liedes "The Auld Triangle" (das alte Triangel) angebracht. Einem weitverbreiteten Irrglauben folgend wird als Autor Brendan Behan angegeben, obwohl das Lied von Dick Shannon geschrieben wurde.
Between the aqueduct and the bridge there is a narrow green strip on which tables and banks are set up. A quiet resting place along the Royal Canal Green Way. A panel was attached to a stone with a few lines of the song "The Auld Triangle". Following a common misbelief Brendan Behan is given as author, although the song was written by Dick Shannon.
