Leuchtturm / Light Tower

Auf der Karte ist in Greenore ein Leuchtturm eingezeichnet, daher bleiben wir am Hafen stehen, halten Ausschau und finden sogar zwei Leuchttürme. Der Haulbowline Leuchtturm (linkes Bild), 1824 erbaut seit 1965 automatisiert, steht auf einem kleinen Felsen weit draußen im Meer und markiert die Einfahrt zum Carlingford Lough. Er ist nur mit Zoom und Stativ auf Silizium festzuhalten. Der Greenore Leuchtturm (rechtes Bild), 1830 erbaut, steht direkt im Hafen. Er ist seit 1986 nicht mehr in Betrieb und hat auch so seinen Glanz verloren.

On the map a lighthouse is marked in Greenore, so we make a stop in the harbour, look around and find even two lighthouses. The Haulbowline lighthouse (left picture), built in 1824 and automated in 1965, stands on a little rock far out in the sea and marks the entrance to Carlingford Lough. It can only be banned on silicon with a zoom and a tripod. The Greenore lighthouse (right picture), built in 1830, stands directly in the harbour. It has not been active since 1986 and has also lost its glare.
