Altes Gefaengnis / Old Gaol

Um 1800 wurde an dieser Stelle ein Gefängnis gebaut. 1968 wurde der größte Teil des Gefängnisses demoliert, nur das ehemalige Wächterhaus und das Haus der Gefängnisdirektors blieben erhalten. Beide Gebäude wurden renoviert, erweitert und werden heute vom Grafschaftsrat genutzt.

Around 1800 a prison was built on this spot. In 1968 the larger parts of the prison were demolished, only the former guard building and the house of the prison governor remain. Both buildings were renovated, extended and are used today by the County Council.
