Die dem Hl. Georg geweiht anglikanische Kirche wurde 1698 gebaut und 1829 mit Mittel des Board of First Fruits umgebaut. Zum Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts war das Gebäude baufällig geworden. Das Kirchengremium und die örtliche Kulturerbegruppe renovierten 2005 gemeinsam die Kirche. Seither wird in ihr nicht nur die Sonntagsmesse gefeiert, sondern die Besucher können sich im Kulturerbezentrum auch über die 400-jährige Geschichte von Carrick-on-Shannon informieren. Die Infotafel weist besonders auf die Orgel hin, die 1846 von William Telford gebaut und von der Familie St. Georges gestiftet wurde.
The Church-of-Ireland church dedicated to St. George was built in 1698 and rebuilt in 1829 with means from the Board of First Fruits. At the end of the 20th century the building had fallen into disrepair. The church body and the local heritage group together renovated the church in 2005. Since then it is not only used to celebrate Sunday mass, but the visitors can also learn about the 400 years of history of Carrick-on-Shannon in the heritage centre. The info panel emphasises the organ that was built by William Telford in 1846 and was donate by the family St. George.
