Larchill Gardens
Designed in the middle of the 18th century by the family Prentice, Larchill (north of Killcock (Cill Choca)) is an "Ornamental Farm" and as such the only completely preserved one in Europe. The garden was built around an agricultural farm and enriched with ornamental buildings, sculptures, watercourses and romantic walking paths. At the end of the 18th century, the family Watson leased Larchhill and remained until the middle of the 19th century. Afterwards, the estate fell into disrepair.
In 1994 the family de Las Casas bought Larchill and restored it to its 18th century origins. Today, not only rare domestic animals but also exotic ones like llamas and emus are bred.
