Rundturm und unvollendetes Hochkreuz / Round Tower and Unfinished High Cross

Auf dem Gelände der Kirche stehen die Reste des Rundturms aus dem 10. Jahrhundert. Da dieser als Wachturm benutzt wurde, hat er fünf statt der üblichen vier Aussichtsfenster - eins für jedes Stadttor des mittelalterlichen Kells.
Eines der noch erhaltenen Hochkreuze wurde nicht fertig gestellt, der Schaft und Teile des Querbalkens sind noch in ihrer rohen Form zu sehen.
On the area of the church there are the remains of the round tower from the 10th century. As it was used as a watch tower, it has five instead of the usual four look-out windows - one for each town gate of medieval Kells.
One of the still existing high crosses was never finished, the shaft and parts of the cross beam can be seen in their raw form.
