Nahe Cadamstown (Baile Mhic Ádaim, MacAdams Stadt) gibt es eine Brücke aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Leider fällt unser Besuch gerade in die Zeit der Renovierungsarbeiten und sie ist nicht zugänglich. Schauen wir halt, was es sonst noch zu sehen gibt. Die Infotafel im Stadtpark gibt uns ein paar Hinweise. Hier finden wir eine Gedenktafel an Paddy Heaney, den lokalen Historiker und Geschichtenerzähler, eine Statue für den Schwergewichts Boxer Dick McRedmond, aber auch den Ballykelly Stein, der von der Burg der O'Flanagans stammt und der Krönungsstein der O'Flanagans gewesen sein soll.
Close to Cadamstown (Baile Mhic Ádaim, MacAdam's town) there is a bridge from the 13th century. Alas, our visit coincides with the renovation works and it is not accessible. Let's see what else there is to see. The info panel in the town park gives us some hints. Here we find a commemorative plaque for Paddy Heaney, the local historian and storyteller, a statue of the heavyweight boxer Dick McRedmond, but also the Ballykelly Stone, from O'Flanagan fort that is said to have been the inauguration stone of the O'Flanagans.
