Als das Gebäude 1783 errichtet wurde, wurde es als Krankenhaus verwendet. In den 1940ern wurde der Krankenhausbetrieb in ein neues Spital verlegt. Das Gebäude wurde renoviert und beherbergt seit 1948 eine Bibliothek.
When the building was constructed in 1783 it was used as infirmary. In the 1940ies the hospital operations were moved to a new hospital. The building was renovated and houses a library since 1948.
