Carn Láma (C3)

Carn Láma (Hügel der Hand, Nummer 3 auf der Carns Route) steht weitab der Straße und ist gerade noch sichtbar. Der Name stammt aus einem alten Epos, in dem berichtet wird, dass der Krieger Fráoch bei einem Kampf seine Hand verlor, die hier beerdigt ist. Der Hügel hat einen Durchmesser von knapp 20 Metern und ist knapp 4 Meter hoch. Gemeinsam mit Carnfree bildet Carn Láma die zentrale Achse von Ard Caoin. Der Ausblick soll von beiden Grabhügel aus wunderbar sein, aber ist dem Besitzer des Landes vorbehalten.

Carn Láma (Mound of the Hand, number 3 of the Carns Route) stands far away from the road and is just visible. The name comes from an old epic telling that the warrior Fráoch lost his hand during a fight and it was buried here. The mound has a diameter of almost 20 metres and is almost 4 metres high. Together with Carnfree Carn Láma makes up the central axis of Ard Caoin. The view from both mounds is said to be fantastic, alas reserved for the landowner.
