Das Priorat in Tulsk (oft auch Tulks Abtei genannt, Nummer 2 auf der Rathcroghan Route) wurde 1448 vom Dominikanischen Orden in der Nähe der Festung des Clans O'Conor gegründet. Die Mönche feierten die Messe mit der lokalen Bevölkerung und kümmerten sich um die Kranken und Bedürftigen.
In der Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts wurde das Kloster (wie alle anderen Klöster in Irland) aufgelöst. Am Ende dieses Jahrhunderts erbauten die Engländer einen Turm in der Klosteranlage, wobei sie bestehende Teile übernahmen. In diesem Turm war eine kleine Garnison mit acht Soldaten stationiert.
The priory of Tulsk (often also called Tulks Abbey, number 2 of the Rathcroghan Route) was founded in 1448 by the Dominican Order near to the fort of the Clan O'Conor. The monks celebrated mass with the local population and cared about the sick and needy.
In the middle of the 16th century the monastery (like all other monasteries in Ireland) was dissolved. At the end of the same century the English built a tower on the monastery's ground reusing existing parts. A small garrison with eight soldiers was stationed in this tower.
