Croagh Patrick

Am Fusse des Croagh Patrick liegt Murrisk Abbey, die im 14. Jahrhundert von Augustiner Mönchen gegründet wurde. Sie ist der traditionelle Ausgangspunkt der Wallfahrten auf den Berg. Auch wir starten hier unseren Aufstieg, kommen jedoch kaum höher als zu den Knöcheln des Berges.

At the foot of Croagh Patrick, there is Murrisk Abbey, founded in the 14^th century by Augustinian monks. It is the traditional starting point for the pilgrimage on the mountain. We also start our ascent here, but we barely reach the mountain's ankles.
