Außer Dublin ist Boyle die einzige Stadt, in
der wir während zwei Reisen übernachten haben. Es ist einfach der beste
Ort um Lough Key zu besuchen.
Die Stadt ist eine typische Irische Kleinstadt mit den typischen Häusern.
In den zwölf Jahren, die zwischen unseren beiden Besuchen liegen, wurden
die Stadt in vielen Punkten moderner gemacht. Als wir 2006 hier sind ist
gerade das Boyle Art Festival im Gange, mit traditioneller Musik,
Geschichtenerzählern, Kindertheater, Konzerten, Theateraufführungen und
mehr. (Die Fahne für das Art Festival ist rot-weiß-rot gestreift, was
sofort Heimatgefühle auslöst.)

Except Dublin, Boyle is the only town where we have stayed
overnight during two journeys. It is simply the best place to visit Lough
Key.
Die town is a typical small Irish town with its typical houses. During the
twelve years that pass between our two stays the town has been modernized
in many spots. As we are here in 2006 we are in time for the Boyle Art
Festival, which offers traditional music, storytelling, children's theatre, concerts,
theatre performances and more. (The flag for the Art
Festival is striped red-white-red, which immediately reminds us of home.)
