Drumanone Dolmen

In Boyle erstehen wir eine Karte mit den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung. Und es sind viel mehr als auf unserer Straßenkarte eingezeichnet sind. Gut, dass wir uns ein paar Tage Zeit genommen haben.
Das erste Ziel ist der Dolmen gleich neben Boyle. Er ist recht gut versteckt, und erst durch die genaue Beschreibung der Dame aus dem B&B finden wir ihn schließlich (R294 nach Westen aus Boyle hinaus, unter der Eisenbahn durch, dann beim ersten Weg nach rechts einbiegen - schaut aus wie eine Hauszufahrt - dort das Auto stehen lassen und den Weg hinauf zu den Bahngleisen gehen, diese überqueren, auf dem Feld dahinter steht der Dolmen. Diesmal sogar ohne Kühe.)
Er ist beeindruckend groß (weit über 2 Meter hoch) und sehr wuchtig. Aber auch der Ausblick auf die Umgebung ist sehr schön.

In Boyle we purchase a map with the sites of the vicinity. And they are much more than there are marked on our road map. Good, that we have planned some days here.
Our first aim is the dolmen just outside of Boyle. It is well hidden, and only the exact descriptions of the lady from the B&B we can find it (leave Boyle on the R294 to the west, pass under the railways, turn in at the next way to the right - looks like a driveway to a house - par the car, walk up the way to the railways, cross them, on the field behind there is the dolmen. This time even without cows.)
It is very large (more thahn 2 metres in height) and weighty. But also the view of the surroundings is very beautiful.
