Malahide Castle

Malahide Castle wurde im 12. Jahrhundert erbaut und blieb dann fast 800 Jahre im Besitz der Familie Talbot. Der Schlosspark ist mit 109 Hektar der ideale Ort für Entspannung und Erholung: Kleine Wege führen durch Wälder und über Wiesen, Spielplätze (wir kommen an zehn Fußballfeldern vorbei) und Picknick-Bereiche sind hier ebenso zu finden wie ein Kricket Platz, Tennisplätze, ein 9-Loch Golfkurs und ein Pitch-and-Put Kurs. Malahide Castle was erected in the 12^th century and then stayed for almost 800 years in the possession of the family Talbot. The park with its 109 ha is the ideal recreation area. Small paths lead through forests and over meadows, playing grounds (we see at least ten football fields), a picnic area can be found here as well as a cricket ground, tennis courts, a 9 hole golf course and a pitch-and-put course.
