Killarney

Killarney ist eines der geschäftigsten Touristen-Zentren Irlands. Viele Hotels, Lokale und Geschäfte verwöhnen die Besucher. Neben den einheimischen Gerichten (Boxty - eine Art Palatschinke [Pfannkuchen] aus Erdäpfel[Kartoffel]teig) - und Bogman's Pie - ein Auflauf aus Faschiertem [Hackfleisch] und Erdäpfeln [Kartoffeln]) sind auch exotischere Speisen zu finden - vor allem Italienische Pasta - und ein Lokal namens "Swiss Barn" serviert Alpenkost. Danke, davon haben wir Zuhause genug.
Von Killarney aus führen alle Wege zu den nahegelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten, allen voran der Killarney National Park.

Killarney is one of the busiest tourist centres of Ireland. Many hotels, bars and shops coddle the visitors. Beside local dishes (Boxty - a kind of pancake made from potato dough - and Bogman's Pie - a soufflé made from minced meat and potatoes), more exotic food can be found, especially Italian pasta and a bar called "Swiss Barn" serves Alpine cooking. Thanks, but no thanks, we have enough of this at home.
Out of Killarney lead ways to all near-by points of interest, most famous of all is the Killarney National Park.
