Dunnamona Motte

Die normannische Motte im Townland Dunnamona (Dún na Móna, Hügelfestung aus Torf) steht auf Privatgrund und ist hinter eine hohen Hecke versteckt. Im Netz ist nicht viel über dieses Nationaldenkmal zu finden: Es wurde von der Familie Dillon errichtet und bei Ausgrabungen 2016 wurden keine Artefakte von archäologischer Bedeutung gefunden.
The Norman motte in the Townland Dunnamona (Dún na Móna, hillfort of peat) stands on private property and is hidden behind a tall hedge. There is not much to be found in the 'net about this National Monument: It was built by the family Dillon and during excavations in 2016 no artefacts of archaeological significance were found.
