Der Hl. Kevin und die Amsel / St. Kevin and the Blackbird

Auf dem Rückweg von St. Kevin's Cell kommen wir an einem modernen Kunstwerk von Imogen Stuart vorbei. Es erzählt die Legende des Hl. Kevin, der zur Meditation die Hände ausstreckte. Als seine Meditiation beendet war, hatte eine Amsel ihr Nest in seiner Hand gebaut. So blieb er solange stehen, bis die Amsel ihre Eier ausgebrütet und die Küken das Nest verlassen hatten.
On our way back from St. Kevin's Cell we pass a modern piece of art by Imogen Stuart. It tells the legend of St. Kevin who streched out his arms in meditation. When his medidation had ended, a blackbird had made its nest in his hand. So he stood still until the blackbird had hatched the eggs and the baby birds had left their nest.
