Westlich von Kilmore Quay erstreckt sich ein Strand über viele Kilometer entlang der Ballyteige Bucht. Der Strand, die Düne und das Land dahinter sind Teil des Ballyteige Burrow Naturreservats, in dem seltene Pflanzen und Vögel ihre Heimat gefunden haben.

West of Kilmore Quay a beach stretches for many kilometres along the Ballyteige Bay. The beach, the dune and the land behind it are part of the Ballyteige Burrow Nature Reserve, in which many rare plants and birds have found a home.
