Clotworthy Haus / Clotworthy House

Mitte des 19. Jahrunderts erbaute John Skeffington, der 10. Viscount Massereene neue Stallungen und ein neues Kutschenhaus. Nach dem Brand 1922 zog die Familie Massereene zuerst nach Skeffington Lodge, dem Jagdschloss im Wildpark und später in das Kutschenhaus, das jetzt Clotworthy Haus genannt wurde. Heute ist hier das Besucherzentrum und das Teehaus untergebracht.
Der Platz zwischen den Gebäuden ist als Formeller Garten mit Blumenbeeten, Sträuchern und Bäumen angelegt. Hier steht auch eine Statue zur Erinnerung an den mysteriösen Wolfshund, der Lady Marian Langford, Ehefrau von Sir Hugh Clotworthy vor einem angreifenden Wolf schützte.
In the middle of the 19th century John Skeffington, the 10th Viscount Massereene built new stables and a new coachhouse. After the fire in 1922 the family moved to Skeffington Lodge, the hunting lodge in the Deer Park and later into the coachhouse, now called Clotworthy House. Nowadays is houses the Visitors Centre and the tearoom.
The place between the buildings is layed out as Formal Garden with flowerbeds, shrubs and trees. There is also a statue commemorating the mysterious wolfhound that protected Lady Marian Langford, wife of Sir Hugh Clotworthy against an attacking wolf.
