Cahergall Steinfort / Cahergall Stone Fort

Über eine kleine Straße kommen wir von der Stadt Cahersiveen (Cathair Saidhbhín - das Fort des kleinen Sadhbh) zu den Überresten dreier alter Gebäude. Da erste ist Cahergall Steinfort (Cathair Geal - das helle Steinfort), das um 600 nach Christus erbaut wurde. Der obere Teil der massiven Trockensteinmauern wurde unlängst restauriert.
Over a small road from the town of Cahersiveen (Cathair Saidhbhín - the fort of the little Sadhbh) we come to three remains of old buildings. The first is Cahergall Stone Fort (Cathair Geal - the bright stone fort) that was built around 600 A. D. The upper part of the massive dry-stone walls has been reconstructed recently.
