Shandon Bruecke / Shandon Bridge
Im 18. Jahrhundert verband eine Fähre den Stadtteil Shandon (An Seandún, altes Fort) mit der Innenstadt. Wie alle Fähren in Cork wurde auch sie durch die Errichtung von neuen Brücken verdrängt. 2004 wurde an der Stelle der ehemaligen Fähre eine Fußgängerbrücke gebaut.
In the 18th century a ferry connected the district of Shandon (An Seandún, old fort) with the city. Like all ferries in Cork it was ousted by newly built bridges. In 2004 at the place of the former ferry a pedestrian bridge was constructed.
