Von Castletown Bearhaven (Baile Chaisleáin Bhéarra), der grössten Stadt auf der Beara Halbinsel, aus, nur durch eine sehr schmale Straße zu erreichen, steht der Derreenataggart Steinkreis. Eigentlich stoßen wir nur durch Zufall darauf - ein kleines Schild am Straßenrand ist alles, was uns den Weg weist. Wir finden auch sonst keinerlei Informationen über den Kreis. Aber zusätzlich zum Steinkreis bietet sich von hier aus ein wunderbarer Blick auf die Gegend.
Out of Castletown Bearhaven (Baile Chaisleáin Bhéarra), the largest town of the Beara peninsula, only reachable by a narrow road, stands the Derreenataggart stone circle. We come across it by chance - only a small sign at the side of the street shows us the way. Other then this, we do not find any other information regarding this circle. But additionally to the stone circle we are offered a wonderful view across the countryside.
