Entlang der Hauptstraße von Adare liegt eine Reihe von schilfgedeckten Häusern, die noch aus den 1820ern stammen sollen. Sie sind ganz in dem Stil, in dem früher fast alle Häuser und Hütten in Irland gedeckt waren. Heute befinden sich Andenkenläden und Kaffeehäuser in den Gebäuden.

Alongside the main street of Adare lies a row of Thatched Cottages, which are said to be from the 1820s. They are in the style in which almost all of Ireland's cottages and huts had their roofs covered. Today, there are souvenir shops and coffee houses in these cottages.
