Unterhalb der Klippen breitet sich der Strand von Downhill aus, der auch Benone Beach genannt wird. Mit 11 Kilometern Länge gehört er zu den längsten der Insel. Auf ihm fanden in früheren Jahrhunderten Pferderennen statt. Später donnerten statt Pferdehufen die Räder der Belfast-Derry-Eisenbahn am Strand entlang.
The strand of Downhill, which is also called Benone Beach, stretches at the foot of the cliffs. With 11 kilometres in length it belongs to the longest ones of the island. In former centuries horse races took place on it. Later, instead of horse's hoofs, the wheels of the Belfast-Derry-railway thundered along the strand.
