Billy Byrne Monument

Am Marktplatz steht ein Standbild, dass an Billy Byrne erinnert. Billy Byrne war einer der lokalen Anführer der Rebellion im Jahr 1798, der nach der Niederschlagung des Aufstands in Wicklow hingerichtet wurde. Die weibliche Figur auf der Vorderseite des Monuments stellt Erin, die Verkörperung Irlands, dar.

On Market Square there is a statue commemoration Billy Byrne. Billy Byrne was a local leader in the rebellion of 1798, who was executed in Wicklow after the uprising was subdued. The female figure on the front side of the monument is Erin, the epitome of Ireland.
