Kirche zum Hl. Petrus (RK) / St. Peter's Church (RC)

Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts durfen die Katholiken wieder ihre eigenen Kirchen bauen, und so wurde in Drogheda 1793 ein Gotteshaus erbaut. Fast hundert Jahre später wurde diese Kirche zu einer noch größeren Kirche umgebaut, die im neugotischen Stil errichtet wurde. Die beiden Türme (der höhere ist etwa 75 Meter hoch) zieren Statuen des Hl. Petrus und des Hl. Oliver Plunkett.
At the end of the 18th century Catholics were again allowed to build their own churches, and so in Drogheda a new chapel was built in 1793. Almost hundred years later, this church was extends to an even larger church built in neo-Gothic style. The two towers (the higher one measures 75 metres in height) are decorated with the statues of St. Peter and St. Oliver Plunkett.
