Tholstel

Das Tholstel ("Zollhaus") von Drogheda wurde 1770 erbaut, um ein hölzernes Gebäude zu ersetzen, das in schlechtem Zustand war. Es wurde als Versammlungsort und auch als Gerichtsgebäude verwendet. 1889 zog die Stadtverwaltung in ein neues Gebäude um, danach war im Tholstel eine Bank untergebracht. Heutzutage enthält es die Touristeninformation.
The Tholstel ("toll house") of Drogheda was built in 1770 replacing a wooden building that was in a ruined state. It was used as place for assemblies, but also as court house. In 1889 the city corporation moved to the newly built office, afterwards a bank was housed in the Tholstel. Nowadays it contains the tourist information.
