Kreuz am Marktplatz / Market Square Cross

Am Marktplatz von Cong steht ein Kreuz, das auf einem alten Sockel errichtet wurde. Auf dem Sockel und auf dem Kreuz steht die selbe gälische Inschrift, deren Übersetzung (laut Reiseführer) lautet:
Ein Gebet für Niahol und für Gillibard O'Dubthaigh die Abte von Cong waren.
On the market place of Cong there is a cross that was erected on an old socket. On the socket and on the cross there is the same Gaelic inscription that translates to (according to our travel guide):
A prayer for Niahol and for Gillibard O'Dubthaigh who were abbots of Cong.
